A mixed weekend with several winners from the blog positives on Saturday, however Sunday's Nap Dalkala didn't get the trip, having looked the winner when cruising up two out.

MONDAY:

A good maiden hurdle opens the Naas card, and looks to lie between JEZKI, fit from a recent spin on the flat, and impressive bumper winner Ally Cascade (12.55 Naas). Jezki has the greater racecourse experience after two bumper wins and a decent 8th in the Champion bumper at Cheltenham. However Ally Cascade could not have won more easily than when scoring last time. Should be a good race between two horses that might be worth keeping onside in the coming months, and a reverse forecast looks attractive as well.

On the same card, LEROY PARKER (Naas 2.55), which has been progressive on the flat, winning and then chasing home Offer last time, has a good racing weight and can beat some more exposed types. The other 4yo Knocklong will find this tougher after a maiden win last time.

At Redcar, RED TYKE (2.40 Redcar) can complete a four timer. Has won two of these over hurdles and scored inbetween at Hamilton on the level. Still well handicapped and off bottom weight here on ground that suits, this looks an excellent opportunity.

Finally it would be no great surprise if CARA'S REQUEST (4.10 Redcar) e/w were to bounce back to form in a wide open finale on the same card. Has scored twice in October and once in early November in the past and has dropped from 80 to 52 since the last win two years ago. With Shirley Teasdale taking off 7lbs is a sporting selection. The drop to 6f would not be a concern for this perennial front runner at further, definitely has the raw speed to be a threat. Will love a return to the heavy ground too, having ironically been running on quicker surfaces recently.

Finally, a mention for Go Native (Galway 3.05), which made such a marvellous reappearance after over two years off injured, travelling like a winner throughout before getting tired close home. Connections were thrilled with that and the horse makes a relatively quick reappearance as its final warm up for the Morgiana Hurdle next month. However.... is likely to be very short in the market and there's the risk of the bounce factor, and I'll need to see the prices before deciding whether to take it on with another horse that is still entered in the Morgiana, in the shape of Staying Article, a 143 rated hurdler after just five career starts and with figures of 1,1,2,1,3. Much will depend on the market as to whether, or how, I might play this flat race. ForPadythePlasterer is another fascinating contender in what, for me, will be the race of the day.

MONDAY BETS:
